ABOUT THE AUTHORS:
MADELEINE E. ROBINS is the author of four Sarah Tolerance mysteries: Point of Honour, Petty Treason, The Sleeping Partner, and The Doxies Penalty, set in an alt- Regency London, with a Queen Regent, and where Miss Sarah Tolerance, “fallen” when she eloped with her brother’s fencing master a decade ago, rebels against what is expected of her. If you like Gail Carriger, you’ll LOVE Madeleine Robins! She penned the NYT-Notable fantasy The Stone War, as well as Sold for Endless Rue, a retelling of Rapunzel set at the first European medical school, and a double-handful of fantasy and science fiction short fiction. She has been, in no particular order, a nanny, an administrator, an actor and swordswoman; has trafficked book production, edited comics, and repaired hurt books. A native New Yorker, she now lives in San Francisco with her husband, is working on yet another book, and owns more cake pans than is either sane or sensible. She was often spied at SF in SF Events at the American Bookbinders, and has a madcap sense of fun. Learn more about this talented writer at https://madeleinerobins.com/
PAMELA TROY worked for twenty years in the Events Department at San Francisco’s Mechanics’ Institute, one of the oldest libraries on the West Coast. Though she has resided in San Francisco for most of her adult life, she was born and raised in Louisiana, and her fascination with that state’s history, food, culture, and folklore went into creating the world of Touperdu, in her new novel. The Newcomers: The Chronicles of Touperdu is the first novel in a series set on the fictional island of Touperdu, where the lines blur between superstition and magic, legend and history, promises and betrayal. Her short stories have appeared in magazines and anthologies like Space and Time, Crimson Fog, State of Horror: Louisiana, and Another Dimension. In another life, Pam worked at Locus Magazine, where she occasionally crossed paths with Jacob Weisman, legendary intern.
T. K. REX is a science fiction and fantasy author from the western states, whose stories can be read in numerous publications, including their debut collection, The Wildcraft Drones. They’re an alumni of the Clarion, Taos Toolbox and Futurescapes workshops, a member of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association, the Authors Guild, and the Writers Grotto, and is the co-host of Stir, a seasonal reading series in San Francisco. The Wildcraft Drones has been described as “climate fiction with heart” by Publishers Weekly and “a much-needed vision” by Kim Stanley Robinson. Their story “Haunting Beauty” has been nominated for a Pushcart prize, and their second book, soon to be announced, is slated for 2027.
