May Reading – Richard Kadrey & Heather Shaw

May 13th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Our May reading features the very wonderful Richard Kadrey and Heather Shaw.

Saturday May 16th. Cash bar and doors open at 6:00 PM, Readings begin at 7:00 PM, followed by Q & A from the audience moderated by author Terry Bisson. Books are for sale at event, courtesy of Borderlands Books.

The Variety Preview Room Theatre, The Hobart Bldg. 1st Floor, 582 Market Street at 2nd & Montgomery, San Francisco.

DON’T DRIVE!! We are steps away from the BART/MUNI station at Montgomery, and parking sucks in SF anyways.

Author events are podcast by Rick Kleffel, at The Agony Column; book commentary, reviews and podcasts. Check it out daily.

Bar proceeds and tips go to benefit Variety Childrens’ Charity of Northern California. Our goal this year with SF in SF is to raise $5,000 to help Variety in a number of endeavors, including aid to families with children suffering from cancer, purchasing adaptive bikes for disabled children, and giving financial aid immediately where it’s needed. Variety the Children’s Charity is dedicated to improving the lives of children in our communities. We do this by providing programs of last resort which help families’ access medical care and related services that are not covered by insurance companies, hospitals, government agencies or community based organizations.

It would help to put the actual date in the blog post since some of us read through your feed and don’t see the sidebars on the site…
