The 2008 Steampunk Convention is now ready to leave from the Domain Hotel in Sunnyvale. All aboard, please. If you haven’t yet bought your tickets, they are available from the booking office web site. One of the principal attractions on your journey will be a rare west coast appearance for the very wonderful Ann and Jeff VanderMeer, editors of the fabulous Steampunk anthology (as published by Tachyon Publications). Be there, or be boringly modern.

I picked up the VanderMeer’s at the airport and deposited them safely at the beautiful Domain Hotel to rest up before their weekend activities.
If you didn’t buy advance tickets to this event you can pay at the door Saturday, enjoy Steampunk vendors & panelists then close out your evening at the Party at the Center of the Earth Saturday night with Abney Park, Platform One and much more.
